The Box Breath Technique

I want to share one of my favorite techniques for on-the-spot stress reduction, called The Box Breath Technique.

Box breathing is a technique that has been around for years and is used by law enforcement and the military to manage the stress response on the spot. It helps to manage symptoms of fight-flight or freeze, such as a racing heart, sweaty palms, tunnel vision, or unclear thinking. By accessing the power of your breath, you can feel more balanced, focused, and calmer. Stress affects everybody in the same way, even though the stressful events may be different. Therefore, box breathing is an excellent technique for anyone to use.
